Individual, family and group therapy

Nicole Levin

M.S., L.C.S.W., #92898

I am a psychotherapist with a Master’s degree in Social Work from the University of Southern California and a Master’s Degree in Counseling and Guidance from California Lutheran University. I have been immersed in my clinical practice since 2014.

I view therapy as a personal journey of transformation, growth, and evolution, and accordingly, tailor treatment to meet the needs of each individual client. Within a positive, empathetic, and nonjudgmental environment, I practice a supportive, integrative approach using tools from psychodynamic, relational, solution focused and cognitive-behavioral therapy modalities. These techniques help clients gain an understanding of the root causes of their anxiety, depression, relational problems, behavioral patterns, and other inhibiting habits. I am aware of, and sensitive to, the importance of each person’s ethnic, cultural, and spiritual backgrounds and account for these distinctions when developing my approach.

Individual Therapy

My clients come to me for a variety of reasons; some feel anxious, depressed, hopeless or helpless and others feel stuck or lost about how to move forward with a particular issue. I seek to empower each person to reach identified goals, overcome fears, and reframe thoughts that are prohibitive to positive results and increased feelings of fulfillment in life.

As a compassionate agent of change, I help my clients cultivate skills that will make their lives feel easier, provide a space that is their own, and tend to the most important relationship they will ever have—the one they have with themselves.

Family Therapy

Even in the most ideal of circumstances, family dynamics can be complicated. Trying to meet our own needs while also trying to meet the needs of others can be challenging and managing individual differences, temperaments, and communication styles can be difficult.

Family therapy can be a safe space to find balance, to support the cohesion of a unit, and to learn to communicate and understand one another in a more effective way. More often than not, everyone in a family has similar objectives: to be heard and to feel loved, respected, and connected. My goal is to help families move toward this intention with more ease and understanding through a strength-based, goal-orientated, strategic model.
